Assistant Minister – Carlton Campus

St Jude’s Carlton is seeking a suitably qualified person with the appropriate character and pastoral gifts to serve as an Assistant Minister (lay or ordained). The Assistant Minister will work with the Carlton Campus Minister and Vicar, to assist in providing pastoral leadership of the ministries at our Carlton Campus. The Assistant Minister will be part of the Carlton Campus staff team currently comprising three additional clergy, and several other pastoral staff, ministry trainees and student ministers.

Children & Youth Minister – Carlton Campus

St Jude’s is seeking a suitably qualified person(s) with the appropriate leadership and pastoral gifts to lead our children’s and youth ministries. Given the broad nature of the responsibilities we are open to considering applicants for either separate roles for Children (Carlton) and Youth (Church) or a combined role for the right person in either a full or part time capacity.

The successful candidate(s) will work with the Carlton Campus Minister, the St Jude’s Parkville Children’s and Youth Minister and other St Jude’s staff and lay leaders, to evangelise, disciple and pastorally care for children, young people and their families. The successful candidate(s) will think theologically about the role and ministry to children and youth and have excellent personal and relational skills.

Operations Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to head our administrative staff team and volunteers. The role reports to the Churchwardens, who have legal responsibility for the temporal matters within the church, primarily in finances, property and human resources. The operations Manager works in partnership with the pastoral staff team to provide exceptional administrative and office support to staff, the Churchwardens, and the parish.

The ideal candidate will have management experience, a background in finance, and possess strong administrative and information technology skills

Financal Controller

We are seeking an experienced and qualified accountant or bookkeeper. The role reports to the St Jude’s Operations Manager and to the elected parish Treasurer and Churchwardens. The position is up to 0.4 FTE (two days per week equivalent). Flexible working arrangements will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in accounting, be skilled in operating modern accounting software (particularly Xero) and experience in a church or not-for-profit environment.
