We aim to be a church for the whole person because the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ radically renews and transforms the whole person to eternal life, regardless of age, gender, race, ability or cultural background.

St Jude’s is positioned to reach many diverse communities due to our proximity to Melbourne University, Carlton Housing Estates, the Melbourne CBD and the increasing number of families living in the inner north. We are a church that proclaims the Gospel to urban families and singles, university students (local and overseas), academics, leaders in business and commerce, the economically disadvantaged, new migrants and refugees.

Due to St Jude’s history, location and reach of parishioners (from over 90 postcodes), we see a key part of our vision to serve the whole city and diocese in the proclamation of the gospel and sending out gospel workers, to plant and re-pot churches.

A church for the whole world

The gospel is good news for every tribe, language, people and nation and so we are committed to sending people to theological college and the mission field as well as focusing our increasing local mission to the large number of overseas students who attend nearby universities.
