Does Christianity Make Sense?

This August at St Jude’s, we will explore the Christian faith from three perspectives: scientific, historical and personal.

Join us on Sundays 16, 23 and 30 August, as well as for a public lecture on Saturday 29 August, as we consider some of Christianity’s biggest questions and whether its claims still make sense today.

Scientifically

Can the Christian faith and modern science be reconciled?

Explore whether scientific evidence and belief in God necessarily conflict, or whether they can coexist within the world.

Historically

Is there reliable historical evidence for Jesus, his life, death and resurrection?

We will consider how the central claims of Christianity stand up to historical investigation and what the available evidence may reveal.

Personally

What does Christianity say about who we are?

We will explore the Christian story from a personal perspective and consider how it satisfies the deep yearnings we have.
